What we collect

When you contact us by email or book an audit call, we collect what you provide directly: name, email, firm name, and anything you tell us about your website or goals. Booking calls are scheduled through Cal.com, which processes the scheduling details you enter on its booking page under its own privacy policy.

How we contact prospective clients

We send a small number of cold emails to businesses we think we can help, and we sometimes call. If you received one of these, this section describes what we hold and why.

Where your details came from. Public sources only: the Companies House register, the Solicitors Regulation Authority's public register and its Data Sharing API, and your own website. We do not buy contact lists and we do not scrape private or gated sources. What we hold is limited to business contact details and publicly available facts about the firm: name, business email, business phone, website, and notes on what we found when we looked at the site.

The basis we rely on. Legitimate interests. We are contacting a business, at a business address, about a service relevant to that business, in a volume small enough to be individually written. Every message says how we found you and how to stop hearing from us.

How to stop it. Reply and say so, in any words, or write to info@counselrise.com. We stop immediately and no follow-up is sent. You do not have to give a reason.

What happens to your details then. We keep your email address on a suppression list, and nothing else. That record exists for one purpose: to make sure we never contact you again. Deleting it entirely would mean you could be added back from a public source and emailed a second time, so keeping this one record is how the objection is honoured rather than a way around it. Ask us to erase it fully and we will, once we have explained that consequence.

Analytics and cookies

This site runs no analytics or tracking scripts and sets no cookies. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers.

How we use it

Information you share is used only to respond to your inquiry, run the audit or engagement you requested, and, if we work together, deliver and improve the content engine on your site. We don't sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Hosting and infrastructure

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard technical request data (such as IP address) as part of delivering the site, under its own privacy and data processing terms.

Client data during an engagement

If you become a client, any access we're given to your site, hosting, or analytics is used solely to deliver the agreed work, and access is handed back or revoked at the end of the engagement. Your domain, content, and analytics access remain yours throughout.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
